Vietnam is the easternmost country on the Indochina peninsula. Its tropical jungles are bursting with wildlife. But less than 50 years ago, things were very different. For more than a decade, Vietnam’s forests were decimated, as a battle between people became a war against nature. The devastation was so massive that the terms “ecological warfare” and ‘ecocide’ were coined to describe it. The dust finally settled and remarkably, life fought back.
